A look back, a grasp further and an apology

2018 has come to an end, 2019 is at the door and just waiting for being let in.

This year, Peregrine Simulations have released two sceneries, of which one was "from scratch" and one that contained a few (important!) fixes.

On the 27th of January, we told you that we had a few things coming:

  • the release of ESSL Linköping and EDOZ Schönebeck-Zackmünde
  • the work on LFOP Rouen and X51 Miami Homestead General Aviation Airport
  • continuous updates for the stable sceneries, if necessary

Except for the last point, we have missed our goals for 2018.

This had its reasons, though. Apart from things beyond the keyboard, mouse and yoke, we had a lot of things that influenced the time we could have spent on creating (or rather finishing) sceneries.

One of our members had a massive hardware change, not necessarily meaning data loss, but the sudden loss of compatibility with a lot of parts belonging to the FSX SDK.

We have tried fixing the issue, but have yet to resolve this one.

As we did not meet our goals, we want to apologize.

Promising and not delivering something is something that we do not want to give nor to get.

... which is why we hope to fix everything up for 2019. Fingers crossed that everything is working as intended then - if so, expect sceneries to roll out every here and then!

Until then: Hold your altitude and soar above!
